About Us
Bella Photo Art was established in 2006 with the goal to provide photographers of all levels with high quality tools and services for presenting their art in the best possible light. Owner Michael Kellogg has over 35 years of photographic experience, from shooting weddings, sporting events, nature and wildlife, as well as working over 20 years for a major camera manufacturer.
Mike began his photographic career while still in the Air Force in the early 70s. Mike took the path that many photographers do, shooting weddings and portraits while learning the trade. After the Air Force, Mike worked in photographic retail in Michigan and New York State while honing his photography skills. Mike also spent a year in Germany in the late 70s while his wife completed her master's degree. While there, Mike taught photography and spent time traveling around Germany, Switzerland and Austria photographing the landscape and people.

After Mike's retail career, he spent 3 years as an independent photographic sales representative covering upstate NY, Vermont and New Hampshire, selling products for nine companies, including Minox, Fuji, Kiron, Brandess/Kalt and CardCraft.

In 1984 Mike began a 20+ year career with Canon U.S.A., Inc., where he first was a sales representative to the Photographic Retailers in Upstate New York and Vermont. In January of 1993 Mike transferred to Canon's Government Marketing Division where he was responsible for the sales of all Canon's photographic and video products to Federal, State and Local governments nationally.

During this time, Mike conducted many seminars and training programs to a wide variety of end users including law enforcement agencies, military agencies, forensic photographers, sports photographers and others.

Mike lives in Crofton with his wife Jamie and their dog Bella.

Stan Stearns Chooses Bella Photo Art for Printing

Bella Photo Art is proud to announce that we are now the official large-format printer for Stan Stearns Fine Photography. Stan has been the most prolific photographer in the Annapolis, Maryland area for many years. His photography has been seen and purchased by people, magazines, governments, universities and corporations around the world. As Stan says "I don't take pictures...I create images".

On a cold November day in 1963, while working as a press photographer for United Press International, Stan took the image that mesmerized the world. As the nation watched along with Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy and her two children Caroline and tiny John, the caisson of President John F. Kennedy passed Washington's St. Matthews Cathedral. At that moment Stan, who was positioned just across the street, poised his camera and watched. Jackie bent down, whispered something into her son's ear and 3 year old John's hand went up. With a click, Stan immortalized John's poignant salute to his young father in a photograph that would crystallize the nation's grief the next morning on the front pages of newspapers and magazines around the world.

Today Stan devotes himself to creating the UNIQUE for the average or the famous. A prize winning photographer that will make your candids jump, your portraits speak and your advertisements to come alive.

You may contact Stan at his web site: ssphotography.com.
